Spring Agent Advisory Council Meeting

Collaboration and Invaluable Feedback

By Marc Hatcher, Regional Sales Manager

Centauri hosted their Agent Advisory Council (AAC) members at the corporate office in Sarasota, Florida the week of March 24th, 2019.  Members began arriving on Sunday, and were treated to the inaugural Atlanta Braves spring training game in Centauri’s Super Suite at the beautiful Cool Today Park, the Braves’ new spring training facility located in North Port, Florida.  This was a great opportunity for fellowship between agents, home office personnel and company partners.

On the first day, AAC members were welcomed by Chief Marketing Officer, Felicia Cox, and Sales Director, John Meyer.  Centauri CEO, Rick Espino provided an update on the state of the company and members were able to have an open discussion with Rick about issues specific to Centauri, how those issues affect their individual agencies and the insurance industry as a whole.  AAC members participated in breakout sessions discussing topics such as agency initiatives, agency and support staff, compensation, retention and profitability.

Day two of the council meetings included a recap of the previous day’s breakout sessions.  Members provided invaluable feedback and information to the Centauri team.  This feedback is turned into initiatives, which is then distributed to various department at Centauri.  Each department then works to make these initiatives a reality.

Some examples of past initiatives born out of Agent Advisory Council meetings that have been put into practice include Agency Downloads, Commission Downloads, Private Flood Education, Increased Companion Policy Discounts, a Service Line Endorsement Coverage option, Smart Home Discount (Louisiana) and a Hardi-plank Discount option.  Initiatives in progress include Smart Home Discounts to future state filings, increased credit factors among deductible options and Commercial BOP state expansion, to name a few.

Our AAC plays a critical role in getting real-time feedback on how Centauri can remain relevant to all of our agency partners.  Feel free to reach out to a member of our Agency Advisory Council if you have any recommendations for improvement.  For a complete list of the members and their contact information, visit:  www.centauriinsurance.com/for-agents/Agent-Advisory-Council
