Meet Marguerite Wachter: Centauri's Travel & Events Extraordinaire!

Marguerite Wachter serves as Corporate Travel and Events Coordinator for Centauri Insurance. In this role, Marguerite is responsible for the research, planning and management of Centauri’s meetings, trade shows and events. She is also responsible for sourcing and management of company-branded items and is a frequent contributor to Centauri’s marketing team.

Marguerite knows a thing or two about coordinating travel since her husband is a recently retired airline pilot. This winter she accompanied him on his last flight which literally took her around the world in just a few days hitting Hawaii and Japan before returning home to Sarasota. Centauri relies on her travel expertise in planning every step of our annual Agency Incentive Trips from scouting potential locations and testing out the activities (somebody's got to do it) to coordinating airfare for our dozens of guests departing from nine different states.

Prior to joining Centauri Insurance, Marguerite was an Assistant Marketing Communications Manager at General Mills in Minneapolis, MN where she was responsible for the management and implementation of strategic marketing campaigns and related touch points including TV, radio, print, web, social media and events. Marguerite hails from St. Louis, MO and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.

"Marguerite came to Florida with the intentions of only working on a part-time basis after leaving her corporate position. She landed at Centauri in 2013 through a temporary agency, but we were very fortunate that she decided to transition into a full-time role," said Felicia Cox, VP of Sales & Agency Relations. "Marguerite is a big part of the Centauri family and we are all so happy that she found her way to Sarasota from Minneapolis."

Always willing to step up and lend a hand, Marguerite is the go-to person who helps make sure our corporate office runs smoothly on a daily basis and her role is always evolving.

Marguerite is also proud mother of two grown children and supporter of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Awareness organization. When she isn't busy at Centauri, you can find her on the greens perfecting her swing, gardening, boating or reading. Golf is more than just an occasional hobby for Marguerite. She was involved in the committee that brought the Handa Cup to Sarasota, plays on women's league and her son is graduating from the University of Nebraska this year with a degree in (you guessed it) ... Professional Golf Management!
