Groundbreaking for New Corporate Headquarters is Oct. 10

Cutting-Edge Building Will Reflect Our Company's Vision, Offer Flexibility for the Future

SARASOTA, Florida – Centauri Insurance is set to break ground on our new corporate headquarters in Lakewood Ranch this month. An official  groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for October 10 at 9:30 am.

The company acquired a 5-acre parcel of land at the southwest corner of Lakewood Ranch Boulevard North and Communications Parkway on July 29. Under the creative guidance of Fawley Bryant Architects, we have designed a 30,000-square-foot, three-story facility.

“Collaboration with the Centauri team has resulted in a building design that reflects their vision, unique business dynamics and plans for their future growth,” said Steve Padgett, executive vice president of Fawley Bryant.

“The building's modern design includes outdoor plazas on all three levels to take advantage of the great views overlooking a beautiful lake, making it a marque office location in Lakewood Ranch's growing commercial park,” said Brian Smith, president of Element Commercial Construction, LLC who is acting as owner's representative for the project.

“Tandem Construction is very excited to be a part of the Centauri Construction team,” said Brian Leaver, senior vice president of Tandem Construction. “We look forward to a project completion of this amazing corporate headquarters in July of 2017.”

“Centauri’s introduction of this state-of-the-art building also provides a fantastic opportunity for up to two additional high-profile tenants to lease customized space on the first floor,” said Cheri O’Neil, senior vice president of Savills Studley, the real estate broker selected to represent Centauri. “Centauri has engaged Savills Studley to market the space, which is anticipated to deliver at the same time as Centauri’s space.”

During the next five years, our company plans to add a number of new Sarasota-based positions with salary ranges that exceed the current county averages. The proposed building will give us the space and flexibility needed to establish these positions while allowing our company to better serve the needs of its customers.

“Groundbreaking at this early date could not have occurred without the assistance of the Economic Development Council of Sarasota County and the SMART fast-track permitting program established by Sarasota County,” said Ricardo Espino, president and CEO of Centauri. “Together with Schroeder-Manatee Ranch, Lakewood Ranch Commercial and other partners, within one year’s time, Centauri identified and purchased the land and designed, engineered and received public approvals for the building.”

“We are excited to break ground and move to the construction phase of the project,” said Espino.
